Mark DeFilippis joined The Nature Conservancy in 2007 to lead prospect research's support of their recently completed $1.6 billion “Campaign for a Sustainable Planet.” As director of prospect development, he currently oversees prospect research and pipeline development.  Previously, he was director of advancement research and prospect management at the University of Georgia, where he served on staff for more than 11 years. DeFilippis, a founding member of AASP, is former APRA-GA president and served two terms on the APRA Board of Directors. He has been the moderator of PRSPCT-L since 2003.  He earned a bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech and an MEd from the University of Georgia.


Susan Black, M.A., CFRE brings over 19 years of fundraising, non-profit leadership, public relations and volunteer management experience to her role as Principal of Allene Professional Fundraising. After a successful career in non-profit fundraising, she founded Allene Professional Fundraising in 2008 to bring her expertise to the wider non-profit community and help struggling non-profits identify strategies that will allow them to reach their potential. Susan is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Central Ohio Chapter and the Kiwanis Club of Columbus. Susan holds degrees from Mary Baldwin College (Staunton,VA) and the University of Richmond and first achieved her CFRE in 2006. She is an AFP Certified Master Trainer and her book "Are You Ready for Fundraising?" will be published by CharityChannel Press this fall.

 
Lora Cowan began her work in prospect research at Tennessee Technological University in 2003.  She has continued at Tech for the past ten years, focusing on research and prospect management and for the past year also managing biographic and demographic data.  Lora presented at the February 2013 CASE District III conference as well as past TARC conferences.  She serves Tennessee Tech as Assistant Director of Advancement Services.  


Ryan Woroniecki is the first salesman to rise to sales manager at DonorSearch. He has worked with nonprofit organizations and development offices for nearly three years. During that time he has assisted over 200 nonprofits with prospect research. He is a board member of APRA-MD, and is an integral part of the organization. He is believed to be the only APRA-MD board member who is a kickball league veteran.
